  • Quotations: Any formal quote provided by us following a website inquiry or site survey is valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless stated otherwise in writing.

  • Contract Formation: A binding contract for scaffolding services is only formed when you accept our formal written quotation and we confirm acceptance of your order in writing (or commence work on site).

4. Scaffolding Services & Customer Obligations

For any commercial or residential scaffolding project undertaken by Skyline Scaffolding Group Ltd, the following core terms apply:

4.1 Site Access & Conditions

  • The customer must ensure clear, unimpeded access to the site for our delivery vehicles, plant equipment, and workforce.

  • The customer is responsible for ensuring that the ground conditions and supporting structures are safe, firm, and capable of supporting the scaffold loads.

4.2 Permits, Licenses & Approvals

  • Unless explicitly agreed in writing that Skyline Scaffolding Group Ltd will obtain them, the customer is responsible for obtaining all necessary planning permissions, building regulations approvals, and local authority licenses (including Highway Pavement Licenses where scaffolding resides on public footpaths/roads).

4.3 Scaffold Alterations & Safety

Crucial Safety Notice: Under no circumstances should scaffolding structures erected by Skyline Scaffolding Group Ltd be altered, moved, dismantled, or tampered with by the customer or any unauthorized third party.

  • All modifications must be performed solely by our certified scaffolding operatives.

  • The customer must comply with all health and safety instructions provided during the handover of the scaffold (including maintaining required Scafftag inspection records where applicable).

5. Hire Terms, Title & Risk

  • Ownership: All scaffolding materials, tubes, boards, fittings, and alarm systems supplied remain the sole property of Skyline Scaffolding Group Ltd.

  • Hire Period: The quotation covers the scaffold for the specific hire period stated in the contract (e.g., standard hire period of 4 or 6 weeks). Additional weekly hire charges will apply if the scaffold remains on site beyond the agreed period.

  • Risk & Loss: Risk in the scaffolding equipment passes to the customer once delivered to site. The customer is liable for any loss, theft, or damage to equipment (excluding fair wear and tear) while on their site.

6. Pricing & Payment Terms

  • Pricing: All quoted prices are subject to statutory Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate, unless stated otherwise.

  • Payment Terms:

    • Commercial Accounts: Payment terms are 30 days from date of invoice, subject to credit approval.

    • Domestic / Residential Accounts: A deposit may be required prior to erection, with the balance due upon completion of scaffold erection or handover.

  • Late Payments: We reserve the right to charge interest and recovery costs on overdue payments in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

7. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Subject to the above:

  • Website Availability: We provide this website on an "as is" basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

  • Indirect Losses: Skyline Scaffolding Group Ltd shall not be liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, delay costs, or indirect/consequential damages arising out of your use of our website or services.

  • Total Liability: Our maximum cumulative liability under or in connection with any scaffolding contract shall be limited to the total value of the fees paid by you under that contract.

We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss that may arise from your use of them.
